Because it’s a Thanksgiving tradition. But apparently the audio file is 21.3MB. So you’ll just have to tune into the radio at noon. Because it seems no matter where you live there’s a radio station that plays it every Thanksgiving at noon.
My dad and I listen to it religiously every year. I remember one year it came on the radio just as we were pulling into the driveway after a last-minute grocery run. Dad and I sat in the driveway for the entire 18:37 minutes, until my mother came out wondering where in hell we were and where was the corn we’d be sent after?
We were of course unrepentant.
